- Beer & Partners is a source of venture capital and business angel investment for growing SME businesses
- Bioscience Ventures is based at The University of Birmingham and commercialises medical diagnostics and services
- Black Country Reinvestment Society provides loans designed to meet the needs of local businesses
- Blue Sky Corporate Finance helps the directors of small and medium enterprises to become investment ready, raise finance, start up or sell a business, undertake management buy outs/buy ins and make corporate acquisitions.
- Business Link provides information and links to government departments for small and medium businesses
- Business Growth Fund is based in Birmingham and will invest between £2m and £10m in medium sized companies in return for 10 to 40 percent
- Capital for Enterprise provides government-backed venture capital funds for growing hi-tech companies
- Catapult provides a range of funding and specialises in providing equity capital for businesses requiring between £200k and £2m
- Enterprise Finance Guarantee provides loans up to £1m to companies making up to £25m
- Epiphany Capital works with entrepreneurs, spin-outs and early stage companies to raise venture capital and grow their business
- Finance Birmingham provides loans of between £100k and £1m to companies needing
- Mercia Fund provides venture capital funding for early-stage technology start-ups that are located in the West Midlands
