Pamela Bryer

Pamela is an Associate at Marks & Clerk in Birmingham, and is experienced in preparing, filing and prosecuting mechanical and electronic patent applications in the UK and internationally. She works with clients in a range of industries and has gained particular experience in the areas of molten metal casting, fluid dynamics and control, medical devices and prostheses, building and construction technologies, the transport industry, antenna designs, computer architecture and consumer products. She is also experienced in handling UK and international design registrations and is the leader of our Design and Copyright Practice Group. In addition, Pamela advises on contentious and strategic matters relating to patents, registered and unregistered design rights and copyright.

Pamela graduated from the University of St Andrews with an honours degree in Physics with Photonics. Before entering the patent profession in 2002, and subsequently joining Marks & Clerk in 2005, Pamela spent almost two years working for Marconi as a research scientist in the field of optical components. In particular, Pamela worked on the development of novel tunable lasers for use in optical telecommunication systems.

As an active member of Marks & Clerk's training team, Pamela has designed and delivered numerous training sessions on various aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) and related IT systems.
