Tina Rees-Pedlar

Tina specialises in all aspects of trade mark law and passing off. She deals with contentious and non-contentions matters including clearance searches and advice, filing and prosecution of trade marks, transfer and licensing, opinion and advice on trade mark infringement and passing off issues, and dealing with oppositions, invalidation proceedings before the UK and Community Trade Mark Offices.

Tina graduated from St Andrews University in 2004 with a MA (Hons) Applied Economics where her research paper was on “The Effects of Competition on Innovation”. In 2006 she graduated from Birmingham University with a Diploma in Law followed by the Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property from Bournemouth University in 2010.

After graduation in 2004, she spent time working in law practices across a wide variety of areas, including corporate, commercial and trusts.

In 2007 she worked for in the legal team of a business consultancy firm where she specialised in the protection/exploitation of intellectual property and its use as investment vehicles.

Prior to joining Marks & Clerk LLP in 2013 Tina worked for a small patent and trade mark firm in Bristol.
