After completing his PhD, he moved to Moredun Research Institute, where he worked as a post-doctoral researcher, involved in developing vaccines against contagious bovine pleuropneumonia. At Moredun, he was involved in the early development of phage-mediated DNA vaccination, a platform vaccine delivery technology, which is the subject of three international patents. In 2007, Jason left to become co-founder and Principal Research Scientist at BigDNA limited, a company set up to commercialise the phage vaccine technology.
