Paul Mountain

Paul joined Martineau as partner in 1998, and the following year established the firm’s dedicated construction team. Since that time, he has acted as lead legal adviser on numerous major development projects, particularly in the public sector for education institutions and local authorities. Paul specialises in the drafting and negotiation of building and engineering contracts of all types and associated documents, including professional appointments, warranties, bonds, development agreements and funding agreements.

Paul is particularly committed to urban regeneration and to the formation of regeneration trusts and new types of partnerships for place-making and infrastructure between public and private sectors.

He is Vice-Chair of the Midlands Environmental Business Company, and is a Trustee of the Hartlebury Castle Protection Trust. From 2005-2010 Paul was a board member of RegenWM, the West Midlands’ centre of excellence for regeneration.
