Ric Roberts
Ric runs a software company called Swirrl. Current projects include PublishMyData, a Linked Data publishing platform. He is a founding member of OpenDataManchester, a Manchester-based organisation which works to open data for the benefit of the local area.
Ric has developed software including Ruby, Rails, JavaScript (including Node.js) and Databases (including NoSQL). He is an active blogger, and founded the popular JavaScript blog DailyJS in 2009, and more recently, LearnLinkedData.
His training courses focus on Ruby, Rails, RDF, Linked Data and the Semantic Web.
Ric's previous positions include Technical Lead at Stardotstar, Senior Software Developer at Jontek, Software Developer at Skillweb and Consultant at Accenture.
He was awarded a BSc (Hons) in Maths, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics from the University of Warwick.
