Trevor Phillips OBE to speak at Social Mobility Foundation Employer Reception

Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Trevor Phillips OBE, will be speaking at the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Reception in Birmingham. The purpose of this event is to look for prospective supporters to help high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds to reach potential.

The SMF is hosting an Employer Drinks Reception at Pinsent Masons at their central Birmingham office. The event is for local businesses who would like to hear more about this exciting opportunity.

The SMF works with young people in sixth-form and supports them throughout their university years with a programme of mentoring, internships, university application support and skills development.

We focus on eleven sectors – Accountancy, Architecture, Banking/finance, Business, Engineering, Law, Media, Medicine, Politics, Science and Technology – and we are currently supported by well over 200 employers, including Deloitte, Accenture, Barclays, Clifford Chance, Centrica, Linklaters, Credit Suisse, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Scottish & Southern Energy.
