Martin Hagmann-Smith
Martin is a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney at Marks & Clerk.
He has handled patent applications relating to low carbon technology. Other areas of specialism include fibre optics, optoelectronics, mobile telecommunications, semiconductor fabrication, liquid-crystal displays, medical devices and oil well technology.
Martin was awarded an Engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Grenoble and a degree in Physics, specialising in opto-electronics, from the University of Karlsruhe.
Martin then trained with a firm of patent attorneys in London before joining Marks & Clerk in 2002, becoming a Partner in 2007.
Martin is bilingual (English and German) and also has conversational French.
